Weight Loss Myths

There are many common weight loss myths that people live by when it comes to their health. It is often difficult to separate the myths of weight loss and the fact from being true. Many sound true while others are just laughable. I once read somewhere that if you drink water at night that you are going to gain weight or if you scratch your head you often lose your hair.

Weight loss myth # 1
The more weight you have to lose, the more intense my exercise routine should be.

Weight Loss Truth: Although an intensive workout routine is great, there are a few things you should consider: First is that everyone is on a different level when it comes to their fitness and how intensely they actually handle. Can. If you have been physically inactive for many years, an intense task can be done for you, walking half a mile a day. After you walk for that half mile you notice that you are sweating with bullets and you are tired. However, for someone who has been physically active for many years, walking half a mile can be done without sweating. Everyone has a different definition of what "intense" is.

If it is hard for you to work one hour a day, but you have only 20 minutes a day due to a busy life schedule, then those 20 minutes will go a long way. This may not necessarily, according to your definition, be classified as "intense", but those small cardio moments will have a positive health change effect.

Fat loss myth # 2

Weight Loss Fact: This is one of those "laughable" myths. To learn more about how stress is adding lbs. For your life please download my free e-book, "Psychology Released Weight"

Weight loss myth # 3
I can lose weight by eating whatever i want

Weight Loss Truth: Sir Isaac Newton once said "He who goes up must come down." There are natural principles that govern our lives. If you throw a ball in the air, it is going to come back down. You can sit on your couch and imagine and imagine that the ball will remain in the air, but natural principles teach us that it will come down. The same goes when it comes to our weight.

This is one of the most common weight loss myths. It is irrational to think that if your nutrition mainly consists of twinkle, chips and donuts then your health and weight will be in balance. Sure, you can burn it out by exercising, but most people whose diet consists primarily of junk food are probably not so disciplined as to stick to a workout routine. I know some people who look from the outside, like they are in good shape, because they are "not fat, but who have high cholesterol."

Just because I'm sorry for crushing the hearts of so many Twinkie lovers out there, I'll say that. You can eat junk food, cookies, chips, ice cream, pizza, burgers .... These are all "soul satisfying foods", but it should be in moderate amounts. There is nothing good in excess.

Fat loss myth # 4
Skipping meals are a good way to lose weight

Fact of weight loss: There are many studies which show that people who skip breakfast and eat less in a day have a lot more than healthy nutritious breakfast and then eat 4-6 small meals a day . The reason for this may be the fact that they feel hungry later in the day, and may have a tendency to eat during other meals of the day.

Weight loss myth # 5
I will not lose weight while eating at night

The truth of weight loss: You can indulge in food during the day and not eat a single thing at night and you will not gain weight. As is the fact that you can starve yourself during the day and eat overnight and still your weight will increase. The key here is balance. If your body is telling you that it is hungry, then maybe you should listen to it. The truth is that over eating will cause weight gain, not exercise. No matter what time of day you eat. Whenever I am hungry at night, as is my habit during the day with other food, I try to choose something that is natural. Some fruits, vegetables, or even I can make myself a fruit smoothie. During those moments that I yearn to eat ice cream or something sweet, I allow myself to get something, and don't feel guilty about it. Many people, who are overweight, speak of guilt and shame. I allow myself to get something, however, with moderation.
